We Are Open 6 Days a Week. Same-Day Visits. Real Relief.
Tooth throbbing like crazy? Feel a bit down and cracked something? Woke up swollen today?
Most people don’t think about their dentist until something hurts, and when it hits, it hits hard. You become uncomfortable, scared, worried, and even a little embarrassed.
But here’s the truth:
You are not the first to feel this way
you are not overreacting,
And no, you don’t need to wait till monday.
At North Barrie Dental, we are open six days a week to help you handle it today, and not someday.

Step 1: Listen to your Body. If Something Feels Wrong, It Probably Is
If your tooth is chipped, cracked, swollen, throbbing or even bleeding, your mouth is trying to tell you something. And no, it’s not being dramatic.
It’s simply showing you the results of the hints you’ve been ignoring.
But don’t panic, simply start here:
- Rinse your mouth gently with warm water (not hot)
- Floss carefully if you think something’s stuck
- Put an ice pack on the cheek that is swollen (that if you’re swollen)
- If you are bleeding, apply light pressure with a gauze or just a clean cloth.
- And please, do not make random home remedies in your kitchen
Step 2: Call Us. Like Now!
📅Open Monday to Saturday. Yes, even on Saturdays.
We offer same-day visits.
All you need to do is pick up the phone and call us.
We’ll ask a few quick questions, tell you what to do next, and if we need to see you right away, we’ll make it happen.
Step 3: You Come In, We Take Over
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted, guided, and taken care of, without waiting forever in queues or wondering what’s next.
Here’s what you can expect:
- You check in. We treat you like a person, not a number.
- You are seen by someone who knows emergencies inside out
- We’ll explain thinks like we are talking to a friend
- We’ll take care of what’s urgent, and plan what’s next, if needed.
You won’t be rushed or left waiting, and most of all, you won’t leave without feeling better than you did when you walked in.
Step 4: Fix What’s Hurting Fast!
First we ease the pain. Then, we treat the problem.
Depending on what’s going on, that could mean:
A temporary or permanent filling
A gentle extraction
A prescription to stop infection
A repair or replacement for a damaged tooth or restoration
And finally…an emergency denture or crown adjustment.
We’ll explain everything clearly, and never pressure you into decisions. You’ll leave knowing what happened, how we did it, and what are your next steps (if there are any)
Step 5: Take A Breath, But Just in Case…
If you’ve got time before heading in, please bring these in with you, they’ll help out a lot:
- Jotting down your symptoms (When they started, what it feels like)
- Bring a list of medications or allergies
- Grab your insurance card (not needed, just helpful)
- Lastly…take a deep breath…we’ll take it from there.
And if you don’t have any of those, still, come. We’ve helped people who walked in with nothing but a sore tooth, and a lot of fear. You are not too late, or unprepared.
But What Counts as a Dental Emergency?
If you’re wondering “Is this really urgent?”, the fact that you’re asking probably means yes.
Still, here’s a quick gut check:
- 🔹 Toothache that keeps you up at night
- 🔹 Cracked, broken, or knocked-out tooth
- 🔹 Swelling, bleeding, or signs of infection
- 🔹 Missing filling or crown with exposed tooth
- 🔹 You’re in pain and you just know something’s wrong
If that’s you, don’t wait. Waiting is how small problems become big ones.
